Windows Installation:
1) First, you need to figure out where Orbz is installed on your system. Click on your Orbz icon on your desktop with your right mouse button. It'll bring up a small menu. Choose Properties with the left button. Within the Shortcut tab, you should see a directory in the "Start In:". This is where Orbz is installed.
2) If you downloaded this game from Garage Games the default location is C:\Program Files\Orbz. For Real Arcade it's C:\My Games\Orbz & Shockwave would be C:\Program Files\Shockwave.com\Orbz
3) If you don't see anything in the Start In you will see it in the "Target:". The only addition with the target is that you will see orbz.exe at the end of it (which we don't need that part of it). Click cancel to get rid of the properties.
4) Next, open up My Computer & find your zip file you just downloaded. If you don't have an icon to My Computer on your desktop, it should be in your Start Menu. Before you open the zip file, these instructions are assuming you are using the standard zip program that is built into Windows. If so, double-click on the zip file. If you have Winzip or something similar, don't double-click the zip file to open it. Instead, you should click on the zip file with the right mouse button. When the menu is brought up, choose the Open With option. It will bring up more choices in another menu. Choose Compressed (zipped) Folders.
5) When you have the zip file opened, highlight the fps folder & the main.cs file (don't go into it). With that done go to the Edit menu and choose Copy (or, you can press the shortcut key - Ctrl-C).
6) Don't close off My Computer.... it has to be left open for the next step. Now, with the Target that you remembered (or wrote down) from above, navigate your way to that directory. If you now see folders like common, fps as well as others, you are in the right directory. Go up to the Edit menu and choose Paste (or, you can press the shortcut key - Ctrl-V). It will tell you that the folder already contains a folder called fps and is asking you what you want to do. You need to choose the option "Yes to All" (you won't lose any of your existing stuff by doing this).
Mac Installation:
1) control click on the Orbz application icon to get the Orbz menu (control click means to press the bottom left hand corner button on your keyboard "control", and while you are holding down on the button click your mouse on the orbz application icon - or if you have a mouse with a right click button, right click instead)
2) scroll down the Orbz menu and open "Show Package Contents" - the Orbz window will open with one folder called "Contents". Under the "View" menu at top of desktop select "as columns". Open the folder that also has the same name as the zip file you downloaded. View this window as Columns as well. Now you should have two windows open on your desktop, one with the Contents folder (we'll call it the Orbz window) and the other should be the new zip folder you just downloaded (we'll call it the zip window). They should both be viewed as Columns - this will make it easier to transfer/install the new maps. On one half of your screen position the Orbz window and on the other half of the screen position the zip window, so they don't overlap.
3) On the Orbz window, click on Contents - then on Resources, i.e. Contents/Resources. Then on the other zip window, click on the folder named the same as the zip folder. Copy the main.cs file from the zip window over to the Orbz window.
4) On the Orbz window, click on fps, i.e. Contents/Resources/fps. Then on the other zip window, click on fps. Copy the wingman.cs file from the zip window over to the Orbz window.
5) Go into the client folder, then ui, then the orbz folder on both the Orbz window & zip window. Drag all the files from the zip window (they all start with crosshair) over to the Orbz window.
6) On each of the windows, go back up in the folders until you see fps & common. Once there, click the common folder, then ui, then the cache folder. Drag all the files from the zip window (they all start with Arial) over to the Orbz window.
